...is to spread the message that people can lead a full and active life after treatment for Breast Cancer through public awareness, the media, and paddling our best.
Knot A Breast Breast Cancer Dragon Boat Team is a non-profit group relying on the generosity of individuals. We are proud of and grateful for our many sponsors, donors and volunteers that help us to achieve our goals.
Our community is a better place to live because of people helping people with gifts of time, effort and donations. We thank our partners and friends for making the commitment and helping us to make a difference.
We are especially grateful to the following:
Knot A Breast would also like to acknowledge Hamilton artist Conrad Furey, for his support of our team. Not only did Conrad design our two beautiful team pins but he also donated an original painting to our auction in 2004. He designed and painted a mural for the Jurvinski Cancer Centre which included an image of a dragon boat with paddlers based (however loosely) on members of Knot A Breast. Conrad passed away in January 2008 but his wife, Theresa, and their daughter continue to support our team.
