...is to spread the message that people can lead a full and active life after treatment for Breast Cancer through public awareness, the media, and paddling our best.
The boats have been put to bed and the clubhouse is closed for the winter. 2008 is officially over for dragon boat racing. No rest for the weary, we continue to work out and train our bodies in anticipation of the 2009 season.
Over $20,000 was raised to help keep our boats afloat and enable us to keep raising awareness in the community. Knot A Breast would like to extend enormous gratitude to those who helped to make our Live and Silent Auction on October 18th a huge success. Special thanks to Connie Smith for her wonderful commentary and to Nello Romagnoli, whose auctioneering talents were surpassed only by his stand-up comedy! Thank you both. Thank you to Sobeys who so generously donated enormous amounts of party food. Thanks also, to the many friends and family members who gave so much of their time and energy to this endeavour and are far too numerous to list. We are grateful too to each and every person & organization that donated items or services to be auctioned. Your generosity is greatly appreciated! Lastly, to the Knot A Breast team members...what a team!

We're all special but sometimes the light shines on an individual...We'd like to share.
Many of us have had the pleasure of listening to our singing steersman, Kevin Ernst. Now we have the opportunity to hear more when Kevin performs as part of the Tempus Choral Society in celebration of the Christmas Season.
